The “Publisher” in Law No. 5187

The same word is used in a different sense in Press Law No. 5187. Art. 36/1 of the Official Announcements and Advertisements Regulation lists “its publisher, if any” among the information that must be shown in a newspaper imprint.

Conclusion

The title of broadcaster appears in the Press Card Regulation only in the Anadolu Agency list, and in four grades: chief broadcaster, senior broadcaster, broadcaster and assistant broadcaster. It should not be confused with the “publisher” in Law No. 5187 and the imprint legislation: that means the person or organisation carrying out the publication and must be shown in the imprint.
