Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you not put dates on this list?
Because we do not want to give a date we cannot keep. On news site infrastructure an urgent job can always jump the queue; rather than miss a date we gave, we prefer not to give one. When a piece of work is complete we write it up in the release notes.
Can I request a feature?
You can, and it is the most useful kind of feedback there is. Write via the contact form; if a similar request comes from several publishers, we move it up.
Can an item drop off the list?
It can. If we see that a piece of work under consideration will not deliver the benefit we expected, we take it off the list. This page reflects not only what is added but also what is removed.
Do I install the updates myself?
No. On managed plans updates are applied by us; there is nothing for you to do.
How the Roadmap Works
Every item on the roadmap carries a label showing its stage; work in planning, in development and released is shown separately. The items cover the publishing software's panel, news flow, headline management and other parts that touch publishing; changes on the infrastructure and hosting side are not listed here.
The order is set mostly by requests from publishers; the same request arriving from several publishers moves that item forward. We do not give dates, because priorities can change during development. Released items are described in detail in the release notes.
