New media news reporting is one of the 17 news fields listed in the Press Card Regulation for the titles of news manager, editor, sub-editor and chief.

New media news stands last in the order of the 17 fields. That shows the legislation recognises the practice of digital journalism as a separate specialisation.

The same tendency is even more marked in the internet news site list. Art. 27/1 lists two titles found in no other list:

Title Differences in the Internet List
Art. 27/1-g differs from the other lists in two respects:
- The prefix “internet” is added to the titles: internet news manager
- The coordinator is also included in the list: internet news manager or coordinator or editor or sub-editor or chief
The Definition of an Internet News Site — Art. 4/k
Internet news site: a periodical established and operated for the purpose of presenting written, visual or audio content in the nature of news or commentary at particular intervals in the internet environment.

Retention of Content

Its Relationship with the Reporter Title
The 17 fields are listed for the managerial titles. The title of reporter, by contrast, appears in every list in a separate sub-paragraph without a field condition (Art. 19/1-h and its equivalents). In practice the name of the field defines the reporter’s specialisation.
