The Definition of a Journalist — Regulation Art. 4/h
Journalist: those working for a wage in intellectual and artistic work within the scope of Law No. 5953 of 13/6/1952 on the Regulation of Relations Between Employees and Employers in the Press Profession, together with those working in the news units of the radio and television organisations established under Law No. 6112 and those working in the news units of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation.

The Grades of the Reporter Title — Anadolu Agency
The Anadolu Agency title list (Art. 23) divides reporting into four grades:

The Reporting Fields
The Regulation lists 17 fields for the titles of news manager, editor, sub-editor and chief (Art. 19/1-g): politics, home news, foreign news, current affairs, the economy, finance, celebrity news, education, sport, culture and the arts, tourism, the family, health, science and technology, the environment, exclusive news and new media news.

The Press Card Process
The application is made to the Directorate of Communications over DES (the State Information System) and is assessed by the Press Card Commission. We covered the detail in the press card guide.
Conclusion
The reporter is the basic journalistic title that appears in every publication-type list of the Press Card Regulation. They are regarded as an intellectual worker under Law No. 5953; at radio and television and at TRT they are accepted as journalists on condition of working in the news unit. At Anadolu Agency the title is divided into four grades: chief reporter, senior reporter, reporter and assistant reporter.
