Its Relationship with the Intelligence Section

The Press Card Regulation also recognises the organisation of home reporting through the intelligence and news section chiefship: the intelligence and news section chief, or, separately, the intelligence section chief and the news section chief (Art. 19/1-f). We covered the detail in what the news chief and the intelligence chief do.

Attribution and Showing the Source

In publications publishing official announcements it is compulsory to show the source of the news. We covered the detail in what attribution is and how it is written.

Content Similarity

Two publications printing the same news item is a separate subject of examination in official announcement inspection. We covered the detail in what happens if two newspapers print the same news.

The Use of Agency Copy

The unauthorised use of agency copy is a separate legal problem. We covered the detail in republishing news agency copy.

Its Relationship with the Reporter Title

The 17 fields are listed for the managerial titles. The title of reporter, by contrast, appears in every list in a separate sub-paragraph without a field condition (Art. 19/1-h and its equivalents). In practice the name of the field defines the reporter’s specialisation.

We covered the detail in who is a reporter: duties, rights and the press card and in the news manager: duties and the press card title.
