If you are a communication faculty student, or study in the field of media, an internship within the Directorate of Communications is possible. The process is governed by a directive.
The Basis of the Directive
The basis is threefold (Art. 3): Vocational Education Law No. 3308, Presidential Decree No. 14 and the Regulation on Higher Education Institutions Benefiting from Ministries and the Institutions and Organisations Attached to Them (Council of Ministers Decision 16/11/1983-83/7408).

The Documents Required - Art. 8/3
- The internship application form (Annex-1/Annex-2)
- A photocopy of the identity card
- A barcoded criminal record obtained from e-Devlet, dated not more than six months before the date of application
- A barcoded residence document obtained from e-Devlet
The Timetable: November and December
Art. 6 establishes a yearly cycle:

| December | The units are obliged to convey their intern requests for the next year to the Personnel and Training Department |

Announcement and Execution
Art. 7: the procedures and principles relating to internships are announced on the Directorate's website through the Training and Exam Services Coordinatorship. Art. 5: internship procedures are carried out by the Training and Exam Services Coordinatorship of the Personnel and Training Department.
What Is an Internship?
Art. 4 of the Directive defines it: the period of applied learning that students meeting certain conditions spend working in the relevant units of the Directorate in order to increase their personal and professional knowledge within the Directorate's field of duty. Those who successfully complete their internship are given an Internship Success Certificate.

Summary
Final-year associate and undergraduate students, vocational high school students within the scope of Law No. 3308 and intermediate-year students under an internship obligation may apply for an internship at the Directorate of Communications; applications from intermediate-year students under no obligation are not accepted. The quotas are determined in November and December of the preceding year and the announcement is made on the Directorate's website.
