The Intersection with Reporting on Children

Education reporting by its nature concerns children and young people. In that field the Law on the Protection of Minors from Harmful Publications No. 1117 and the rules on reporting about children are of particular importance.

The Advertisements of Foundation Universities

The announcements and advertisements of institutions in the field of education are the subject of the official announcement legislation. We covered the detail in whether foundation university advertising is an official announcement.

Journalism Education and the Press Card

Another reflection of the education field in the press card legislation is the place of a communication faculty degree in the official announcement staff conditions. Official Announcements and Advertisements Regulation Art. 20/2 grants the exception to the kinship prohibition to those who satisfy the graduation condition in Art. 19/1-a. We covered the detail in who counts in the intellectual worker staff.

Traineeship

We covered the press card position of traineeship in the transition from education to the profession in whether a trainee journalist can get a press card.

Its Relationship with the Reporter Title

The 17 fields are listed for the managerial titles. The title of reporter, by contrast, appears in every list in a separate sub-paragraph without a field condition (Art. 19/1-h and its equivalents). In practice the name of the field defines the reporter’s specialisation.

We covered the detail in who is a reporter: duties, rights and the press card and in the news manager: duties and the press card title.
