Three of the Directorate's ten service units perform a directly communicative function. One of them concerns journalists closely: freedom of information applications pass through it.
The Public Relations Department - Art. 8

The Translation Department - Art. 9

- (c) To translate into the languages needed the publications prepared for the purpose of promoting Turkey (as amended by Presidential Decree No. 66)
- (ç) To perform the other duties given by the Head
The Strategic Communication and Crisis Management Department
This department was added to Art. 5 as an additional subparagraph by Art. 3 of Presidential Decree No. 66 (Official Gazette 18/9/2020-31248).
The Ten Service Units
Under Art. 5 the Directorate consists of: the Department of Public Diplomacy, the Department of Strategic Communication and Crisis Management, the Department of Press and Publications, the Department of Public Relations, the Department of Translation, the Department of Personnel and Training, the Department of Support Services, the Department of Information Technology, the Department of Strategy Development, and the Legal Counsel Office and Private Secretariat.
